LED PDT (Photodynamic Therapy) is a photo sensitiser, which a stimulated by photon, chemical and biologic process. the Photonic Energy (Light) is converted into chemical energy which initiates a cascade of events at a cellular level. The difference between Household PDT and Commercial PDT
The power density of commercial PDT therapy instruments ranges from 20-800mW/cm², and the most common is 100-120mW/cm².
Household ones are basically in single digits, far less than the power density of commercial ones.
What results can you expect ?
Results will vary and the number of treatments you need will depend on your skin. The vast majority of people will see significant improvement during treatment, but the full effect of the treatment plan will be seen 2-4 months after the treatment plan ends.
Are there any side effects ?
There may be some redness on your face, but this will go away after a day or two. You should apply sunscreen within two days of treatment.
